good morning to the rest of your life

hello

my name is Robert Thornhill . I am 30 years old from a small town in Newfoundland , Canada . I write and record my own lo-fi songs under a few different names but the reason I started this blog is not to talk about that really , even though I know that I will , its because I love music , like really really love music , you know that movie "almost famous " when penny lane is talking about music or in the bootleg version were billy crup is talking about that one hey in the ray Charles song . I love music like that . It is the one thing that I have identfy with my whole life . I chase a good song like a dog chases cars . It doesn't matter what type of music it is , a good song can make you feel , like really feel something . For some people music is background to drown out the silence but for me a good song is the silence that drowns out the foreground .

so this what I am going to do . . . . .

I'm starting this blog to rant about all the great music out there from all ages , music that i love , music that i can't live without , music that has been stuck in my head for the last few days , music that is everything to me .

I will also rant about other stuff as well but you know such is life .
